***SUBMISSIONS FOR THE 2018 FESTIVAL WILL OPEN LATER THIS YEAR***

But don't worry there are still lots of different ways that you can get involved in this years festival in the meantime;

Last year we launched the Recovery Street Film Festival event at the Curzon Cinema in Soho. We announced the winning film and held a screening of the top ten shortlisted films. The event was a huge success and a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate the amazing creativity of people in recovery, as well as shine a light on the impact addiction can have and the important role recovery communities play.

Congratulations to the 2017 winning entry 'Kelly's Story' which celebrates the theme of 'making up for lost time'.

In the film above, Kelly talks about her experience of addiction, homelessness, losing her children and ultimately what encouraged her to seek help and work towards her recovery. It is a powerful and emotional story, which we believe many people will be able to connect with.

If you are interested in making a film to submit this year have a look at our guide with some useful tips about how to make a short film (submission dates will be announced later in the year).

If you'd like to support the festival as either a charity partner or a commercial organisation find out more here.
