'My lightbulb moment' is the official theme of the 2018 Recovery Street Film Festival, so now it's time to start thinking about how you are going to incorporate the theme into your film.

We want to hear what inspired you to change. What moment or moments led to your recovery journey? Maybe you haven't realised what that moment was yet. Now is the ideal time to look back and consider what inspires you to change and help inspire others too.

Each year the film festival is guided by a central theme, which aims to support you telling your story of addiction and recovery. The theme also helps guide the message you wish to tell and gives you a creative direction to follow when making your film.

Our judging panel will consider how well you include the theme as part of your submission so think about how you can use the theme to inspire your film. Be as creative as possible!
