Sunny Dhadley

Sunny Dhadley FRSA is a leader, social impact consultant and TEDx speaker with lived experience of substance use. In 2007, he began developing peer led services shortly after detoxing from heroin, going on to support thousands of people and inspire many others. He went on to nurture the programme he had initially joined, which then received the Queens Award for Voluntary Service. His work in developing collaborative interventions aimed at supporting vulnerable and/or marginalised communities in a holistic way has been seen as ground-breaking, being cited in many UK and European best practice papers. 

Alongside his operational expertise, Sunny is a respected strategic influencer and spokesperson on policy reform & system change. Some of his current roles include: Expert Working Group member for the Labour Campaign for Drug Policy Reform; member of the Expert Reference Group for Part Two of the Dame Carol Black Review on drugs; and as a LEx (Lived Experience) Elder helping to develop the LEX Movement.     

Since early 2019, Sunny has been operating as a freelance speaker & consultant, and has worked with many organisations including NHS England/NHS Improvement, HomelessLink, Windsor Leadership Trust, Anyone's Child and Collective Voice.
